I wasn’t seriously interested in the flowers. I never had been. Mother, on the other hand, used to stare at them for hours. Maybe that’s why I was playing with this one today. Missing her. Although, how I could miss someone who sent me away. She said I was a disappointment. Not fit to live with her anymore. Kind of sad when your own parent wants nothing to do with you. Thus, maybe I’ll keep that side of me a secret for the time being. No one needs to see the real me who lost everything.

This, boy, seemed to be a little twisted, but I wondered in what way. Good or bad, I guess I’d have to find out, wouldn’t I? I tilt my head to the side, listening to him as he tells me to use my imagination. “No one wants me to use that, trust me.” If I used that, then my secret of my obsession with blood would come out. Then I’d be marked crazy, and probably sent away, again.

He moves closer, and I let the smile that crosses my face to twist a little, seemingly enjoying the twisted game that was beginning. “Am I supposed to be afraid of the big bad wolf?” I chuckle, pausing a few moments. I stretch my neck, teeth snapping as I stop myself short from coming close to touching him. “Do I look afraid?” Oh, the joys of being me. Fear was not something I came by easily. I could pretend, yes, but I was not about to play stupid with this boy. He might be more friend than foe, and I wasn’t really looking for foes right now.
