Use caution when the Wolf comes aknockin; (Zjeena)

The pending battle weighed heavily upon the mind of the russet colored dragga. Even now he can feel the unease tugging like a stone upon his soul. The wolf bristled, eyes flashing gold beneath the multifaceted emerald hues. It did not approve of his unease. A sign of weakness. He had bent his will to Liland in the moment to keep Zjeena safe. He had acted without the wolf and now it worried of his resolve. He can hear his father's voice, the snide tone in his voice proclaiming him weak and worthless. But he knows he is not.

He would see them shy at the mention of Paradise and the pack he had built.

Nostrils flare as the milky sweet scent familiar to him overwhelms the acrid tang of salt air. A playful smile tugs the corners of his whiskered lips upward as moments later Akela's dark smoke colored form burst through the deep underbrush with a triumphant squeal. A deep rumble draws from Rougaru's lungs as he turns to meet the rushing form of his growing son, muscles tensing along his shoulder as the young colt rears to pumble his small hooves against the battle scarred chocolate hide. "Ha! Got you intruder!" The small voice proclaims and Rougaru cannot help but to feign defeat. Thick skull raises as he allows thick limbs to buckle beneath him. "Oh no I have been defeated! Fallen to the mighty Akela of the Jungle" he teases as eyes close and he falls back against the lush jungle undergrowth.

A look of concern flashes in the young boy's eyes as timidly he drops his muzzle to snuff at his father's neck.

Without warning Rougaru is in motion. A playful nip is given to the colt's wisping strands of mane as the great chocolate wolf rises with a hearty chuckle. "Not quite there yet but your getting better" he teases. Nuzzling the boy's warm shoulder affectionately. A single ear flickers as Zjeena's scent floods his nostrils. "Where is your mother hiding at?" He teases. It had been some time now since he had spent time with her, his stoic ice queen. Her calm demeanor and playful banter suddenly overwhelming any thoughts of war. He missed her. Like his desire for Monster his heart of stone beat a steady rhythm answered by the warmth of her skin. Liland's bargin loomed upon the horizon and with the changing seasons he knew that so too soon she would be off to the Bay....

But he was not happy.

He bristled again, thinking of how haunty the stallion appeared when he sent Zjeena away. If looks could kill Rougaru would have gladly trampled the Bay lord's remains into the dirt and left a heaping pile of manure on top for good measure. Zjeena did not deserve the treatment she had recieved from Liland. His only comfort was that she now remained here in Paradise. Adored and protected. If there was more he could do...

A heavy sigh blows past his lips as emerald gaze strains past the shadows of the dense jungle overgrowth. Ears pricked forward trying to uncover the pale mare's presence. He needed to spend some time with her. Even if it was a mere moment before the war of the worlds were upon them.
