Phoenix*
Wandering around a pretty garden, sipping wine that was probably awfully expensive whilst pretending to admire some pretty lights and skilfully carved ice work felt like an awful waste of time. In the most practical of senses of course it was, this doleful indulgence served no vital function however the coronation itself had been a significant ceremony. Besides everything else it was Ana’s brother being crowned and that brought with it issues of obligations and the like, not that attending this party felt much like an obligation to Phoenix. Her daughter on the other hand… well Evelyn hadn’t been happy about the whole thing. As much as she loved her Auntie Ana being around so many people who were probably going to stare at her because she looked weird had been the anxiety that had gripped Evie. Phoenix had tried but she wasn’t going to force her daughter to socialise, she’d brought Evelyn to the party the rest was up to her. She didn’t doubt that Evie would find some way to creep back to her room and suspected she might have already.

Well Phoenix wasn’t about to drag her out kicking and screaming so she was going to finish enjoying her drink at the very least. Ideally, she’d wanted to talk to Ana but unsurprisingly the King’s sister was in much demand but she hardly saw the need to press. Eventually there’d be time for them to talk but it was good to spend time with your family. Phoenix understood that and she could wait, it wasn’t like there was anything urgent, at least not really.

Sadly, it did mean she was likely to spend the next few hours being dreadfully bored. There was a lot of young folk and fancy folk milling around and the idea of wasting the time attempting small talk with some of these people sounded painful. Not that she didn’t look like she fit in herself but one pretty green dress and a little bit of grooming later and it wasn’t so hard to blend in. Honestly though the last hour hadn’t been so bad whilst she’d been wandering the gardens sipping her wine and watching the people in their revels. They could be amusing to say the least.

The amusement may have been wearing off a little, enough that she’s mildly relieved to recognise a face she knows. Not just relieved either, it had been some time since the island and it wasn’t like there was that many faces, she wanted to again from there. His was an exception though. Also, hard to forget or mistake for another, when they bore resemblance to a bear. “Well, it’s interesting to see you with your clothes on,” she saunters over and smirks, not particularly caring or noticing if he’d been speaking with other people. “Hello Bjorn,” she smiles softer now, “It’s been a while, are you here to celebrate with the rest of the rabble?”
