Meadow

His part in the war was over, but he could not return home right away. Feray would not be there waiting on the shore to embrace him and tell him how much he was missed. He had imagined coming home with his second stallion, Lucifina licking his wounds and Feray's heartfelt words. There was Creed's gratitude, a proud nod from Daciana, and an energetic welcome home from little Jordan. He could see Kamakaze staying to the background just watching him. This was his herd, his new family. Unfortunately, his imagination was not reality so he could not go home right now.

The main island called his name so he swims there. He reaches the first beach he sees, eyes looking out over the vast meadow that lays ahead. He wasn't really searching for anything in particular, but one mare alone stands out among the groupings of other horses. She had beautifully champagne skin, broken up with white patches, but most importantly she was eye level. Most of the mares he had back at home, or he had ever talked to (besides Daphne) he had to look up to look into their eyes. It was a relaxing change. Relaxing enough to urge his legs forward.

His gait was choppy, with a clear limp from his recent battles. He had not fought much in the war, but he had suffered a few blows that cause him to look a bit rough. His soft smile tells a different story as his lips part to nicker a sweet melody of his approach. "You are breathtaking." He doesn't hesitate to say how he feels as he comes to stand before the beauty. A light chuckle leaves his throat. "I'm sorry was that too forward?" He wasn't usually like this. Charmer wasn't his usually approach, but maybe he still had some high from the recent war.
