where innocences burn in flames
The surf bubbles and froths at his ankles as he stands idle on the shore of the Crossing. His glacial eyes fixed on the distant island of Atlantis, it is just a green smeer on the horizon, that beckons him to return soon. With a silent promise of return, he pivots and moves up the beach. A soft breeze whispers into his dripping-wet onxy mane, it is warm against his skin and a reminder that the warmth of summer draws to a close. The Atlantis winters are nothing compared to the Norðurland in the winter, where it is bone chilling and frigid cold. He presses through the thick grass that grow abundantly in the Meadow, his glacial eyes flick from newcomer to newcomer. Some gather in pairs while others meander around by themselves. He pauses as a stranger jovially trots across the meadow with his head to the ground, clearly enjoying the sweet scents that are abundant here. Curiosity fills his glacial blue eyes, as the questions begin to fill his mind. Was he new? Or was a return resident such as himself? How many times has he left just to return? The Isles whisper always beckon him home, even when he was in the Norðurland with his kin.. the whispers had spoke to him. It is a tug. A call in his heart. How could he refuse their call? He steps closer to the male, his posture is non threatening and his shoulders relaxed. "There is nothing like coming home," he admits aloud, as his glacial eyes settle on the man. "Are you a newcomer? Or returning home?" he asks in his thick northern accent as he tilts his crown up to look up at him. Icelandic mutt - Grullo Sabino - Stallion - 14.3 hh
