The road goes ever on

He was reassured that Thea did not understand what she stirred in him calling him a boy. All his life he was called a colt, but he had been one. Being a leader of a herd, winning battles (and losing), and being involved in a war makes him so much more. Roheryn was no longer a colt. He watches her reaction to learning he was a lead stallion. This might be satisfaction enough for her recent comment on his age. A smug smirk spreads over his features and it grows as she nervously repeats the name of his own. Yeah....doesn't sound like the home of a boy, does it?

"I'm not sure how it got its name actually, but a territory is what you make of it." He watches with interest as he notices her spying his body. He was intrigued as he has already given her a look over. Did she like what she saw? "I can tell you my land is a mystery and I am not very good at solving mysteries, but I have a mare who is excellent at it." Whoops. He is already telling others about Feray and now Thea will be disappointed when she doesn't get to meet her. She might be even more disappointed when she learns why Feray isn't at home.

She might not feel safe anymore and that was one of his biggest worries. He didn't want his mares to feel unsafe under his care. Their eyes meet and she asks about his battle. Did he win? "As far as I know this is the first time war has touched these isles, but I cannot say there will be a winner. Each side will suffer something, but I have my life and the mare I was protecting is okay so I guess you could say I won." Creed was safe because he ran into battle with the will to save her. He wished he could do more for the Forest, but he was only one soul in a sea of many demons.

He did not wish to linger on the topic of war so he asks her name and where she comes from. Obviously, he was curious if she had a home or not, but even if he went home alone he had a great herd waiting for him at home. He waits as she says her name, but lingers on where she lives. Roheryn finds himself leaning closer with ears alert on top of his skull. Finally, she says it. Thea ann of nowhere. "Nice to meet you Thea ann. Do you prefer to be called your full name or just Thea or Ann?" He smiles as he asks her preference. He had an even bigger question in mind. "Do you like to live alone or would you like to meet my herd back at home?" It was a huge question for such a timid mare, but he hopes she would take a chance on him.
