The dark-colored filly moves through the Dunes like something that didn't belong. She was dark in contrast to the sandy browns of her current home, but Leilyn was used to the weather here. She was born on Salem from the Marwari mother who has lived here for years and a stallion from the tundra who happened by this place one day with is herd. Her mother decided she would rather stay on Salem than follow him, but Leilyn always wondered what life must be like on Tinuvel. She was curious, almost enough to go there herself.
She was still too young to travel alone, but by spring she be would be considered a mature mare. She had already decided she would go to Tinuvel to either live with her father or live with her friend Shaydowfax. Her mother told them all she would be leaving soon now that Balavant was weaned. I guess someone she once knew found her and told her an old lover was back at her old home. She told them all she had to go, but that her heart was torn. Something about she was in love with this stallion before he had disappeared and she traveled here to getaway.
Mother had fallen in love with the leader of the Dunes at the time, but he had passed away from old age. Since then she says she hasn't been happy, but she enjoys raising her children. She didn't want to leave them, but she had to follow her heart. Libra would watch over them and take control of Balavant until he stuck out of his own. Both of her other siblings had bodies more fit for this terrain, but she was different. Leilyn had the body of a Fjord, though slimmer than most and ears that curled inward from her Marwari lineage.
She was unique, a real catch. The filly knew only the best could have her and she would only give herself to the best. She reaches a small stream where her dark lips kiss the cool liquid. The air was beginning to cool with the setting sun, but she was hardly tired. No, Leilyn was ready for an adventure.
