She's not wrong. Hardly a few beats pass before a grullo stallion, still dripping wet from the swim over comes into her line of sight. Grier calmly watches him scan the area before picking her out against the tree. To be honest, she's not even sure he's really looked at her beyond acknowledging that yes, she was female, and yes, she was alone.

Don't be too hard on the lad, she thinks to herself as he approaches at a trot. She pricks her ears forward pleasantly and watches him approach. He was taller than her by a little, though not much and clad in handsome grey with daker points. He looked well fed and healthy, even if his approach seemed a little bit frantic.

Pleasantly, she extends her muzzle toward him to return the greeting, but almost immediately pulls back in surprise as he launches into a verbal tirade. Wot in the blazes is he on about.

Unsure of what is going on, she flicks her ears back and studies him, noticing the way he seems a bit disheveled and worried. He finishes his speech and then stares at her, so she awkwardly clears her throat before replying, her accent apparent. "Um, 'ello then. I'm Grier."

She pauses for half a beat, trying to reconcile everything he'd just dumped on her in her mind. To be honest, it really sounded like he couldn't care less who or what she was, only that she was another body to be dumped into his herd to bulk up his numbers. "The Bay ye said then?" The overo mare figures she could start there, since she was fairly certain that was his home. "Whatever are ye nervous fer? I doubt a man's going tae press his will on ye."
