~ a heart like a wildflower
A soft smile traces her lips as he begins to tell her about his home. She notices the proud lift of his head and the puff of his chest as he speaks of his land. As he speaks of the mystery it really begins to pique her interest. She has never been anywhere except beneath the protection of her father and now a wanderer in the meadow. Then he mentions he has a mare that is excellant at solving mysteries, her ears rotate forward amongst her caramel locks.
"I want to help solve the mystery, and meet her," she nods. She has not had friends before, her father barely let her out of his sight.
He meets her eyes with his own, and she feels warmth in her cheeks as they stare into each others eyes. She shifts her weight from hoof to hoof as she listens to him speak of the War, and his victory.
"Wow! You must really know how to fight," she muses aloud with wonder in her hazel eyes. Father would approve of this strong warrior that presents himself before her.
"You can call me Thea," she says softly, her voice a whisper on the breeze. Then his next question has her giggle. She shyly looks away, her gaze lingers on the pink and yellow wild flowers that grow abundantly in the meadow. Did she like to live alone? No. She shifts her gaze to him once again.
"I would love to meet you herd and see if the badlands are really bad," she says with a soft smile on her lips but as the thought of not being alone anymore; causes her to widen her smile.
"Do you think they will like me?" she asks with a nervous laugh.
