You're okay I hope." Her question fills the space between them. It is soft and delicate, much like her. He swivels his chiseled crown and a smile traces his dark lips. "Yes, I am okay," he informs her, and notices the look of worry in her dark eyes. "I have defended our home from one who seeks to take the Dunes from us."

He speaks the truth, for she had sought to take the Dunes and displace any who would follow him. He, of course, would not allow it. He shifts his weight on his hooves, trying to find a more comfortable position to rest his body. He eyes her curiously. He has a feeling that there is more to this conversation than for her to wonder about his well-being.

He tilts his crown slightly as she timidly speaks, as if he were going to unleash the fury of Bast on her. His dark eyes search her face and lets the silence span between them as he contemplates her request. How could he possibly stand in the way of her leaving the Dunes to search for her child?

"Petal, I would never stand in your way," he says aloud, his dark eyes focus on her face. "Your heart beckons you from the Dunes, and you must follow it," he says aloud as he steps closer to her. Her skin is aglow with the sultry sun's early morning rays. His breath catches in his throat at their nearness and he cannot help but reach out to her with quivering nostrils. His heart thunders wildly in his chest as he muzzle presses into her gilded soft skin.

"Just be careful, the Isles are full of turmoil and darkness..." he pauses as he draws her scent in. "And come back to me," he whispers to her.
