The Rules
  • There will be no fraternizing with enemies. If you put yourself knowingly in danger, don't expect a rescue.
  • We are only as strong as our weakest link. See to it that you are getting stronger in some skill that is useful, whether it is battling, recruiting, charming, etc.
  • The King and Queen have final say in all matters.

A soft groan of pleasure left his lips as Geneva nipped his cheek, the pinch of his skin somehow still a welcome sensation despite his damaged pride. She pressed herself against him and he smiled, reaching over to nuzzle affectionately at her mane. She assured him that Primrose and Paisley could handle it and get home when they were free. He nodded, knowing that she was right. "I know you're right. I just need to be a better protector. I don't want to lose you or anyone." His gaze softened as he looked from her to Zubeia, wanting them both to know how priceless they were. He stilled recalled the day Xiomara tried to take Geneva and he'd driven her out like the bandit she was. Then Liland challenged for Vihaan and thankfully he was able to drive that stallion away. Somehow he couldn't do the same to Ruger and Vasilissa, but he would learn from the experience and get better.

His mares deserved only the best. He tilted his head as Geneva spoke of mares in a leadership role such as Vasilissa had taken in stealing other mares. He snorted and shrugged. "To each, their own, I suppose. I would hate for any of you to get hurt. I'd much rather wear the scars myself." He knew Geneva was doing better with the heat of the Desert, noticing that she didn't go to the cave as often as she used to. His children were born here and so their body would automatically adapt to the climate. That made him feel better. Zubeia herself seemed better suited to the Desert climate, but he didn't want her to feel like an outcast. The smaller mare said that it was good enough and he searched her gaze, wanting to know if there was anything he could do to make it better than "good enough."

"I hope this place will become a home for you unlike any other, Zubeia. If there's ever anything I can do to make a difference for you, let me know." One ear flicked as Legolas spoke and he turned his head back to his son with pride. His smile only grew as Legolas said he wanted to lead a herd. His eyes glittered with happiness. "I bet you'd be a natural, Legolas."
