Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

My golden eyes shine in a mixture of hope and relief. It appears that my target is more than willing to become my savior. Somehow, out of all the wolves that hail this coastline as home, I have thrown myself upon the mercy of Glorall's princess, one of them at least. My mother and father had been a bit reclusive from the resident pack and so knowing all their names and who was tied to who was a little daunting, and currently beyond grasp of my young mind. Anyway, this was no time for a lesson in ancestry, she had understood my plight and she was offering me food!

I didn't need a second invitation and I was already hauling myself from the sandy ground by the time her nose nudged my brindled shoulder. Like a good little boy I padded along behind her. My gaze focusing in and out on her two-toned tail that swished a few inches in front of my nose. Another whine escapes my throat, one of hunger and loss. It should be my mother's dark hide that I see before me now, not this stranger's. For a moment I paused and turned my gaze across the rolling sand dunes. I opened my jaws to let out a dispirited yodeling cry. Perhaps mum, dad or Shimmerpaw would hear me this time. But the only thing that answers my call is the breeze and the squarks of sea birds.

With a huff of anger, that was slowly starting to fester and burn beneath my skin, I pick up my paws and charge after Eira who had stopped by some rocks. Was this where she had hid the goods? Yipping and whining as any hungry youngster would I jump up. Paws scrabbling at her shoulder as I impolitely ask her to hurry up. Blunt claws rake through her fur, barely scratching the skin, because I truly had no intention of harming her. I was just so hungry! Please make this pain stop! I am wasting away here woman!
