The colt seemed to think long and hard about what he said. Cain gave him time, knowing it couldn't be easy to be separated from a twin when you've come to rely on each other so heavily. He didn't remember any siblings in his herd but he did remember the pain of separation from his mother. That was the hardest thing for him. He eventually got over it and learned how to be his own stallion but he was also captive for 4 years so he had plenty of time to move on. Everyone was different so who knew how long it would take Joker? He still seemed worried about something. Cain pricked his ears and tilted his head, ready and waiting. Then Joker asked where he would go if he chose to move on. He said he couldn't lead his own herd yet and he didn't want to go back to the Bay. Cain's nostrils wrinkled at the idea of the Bay, but only cause he knew Liland was the lead there and he had tried to take Vihaan from him last season. Cain never forgot those that tried to take something from him. The colt had a point, saying going back might be like quitting. Cain nodded his large head in agreement. "You're right, it could be, especially if that's not where you want to be. You can always see if a stallion will take you in and teach you, guide you toward being a mature leader yourself some day, or even just a second. I don't know how you feel about sand but I lead the herd in the Desert. I wouldn't mind taking you in if that's what you want to do. I can teach you what I know about leading and you'll have company with the rest of my herd. I have a few mares and even took in an older stallion. I bet he'd have plenty to teach both of us." Snorting softly, he waited for the colt's response. Would he take him up on it or see if someone else could help him? Cain wouldn't be offended if he wanted to go somewhere else. At least he was able to give him an idea.
