She made sure to remember for later not to take Noctis around snakes again. Apparently it was some kind of weakness of his and he was her brother so she would keep the secret safe. She hated that he rubbed so hard on the tree that he made himself bleed. She took him to the water and waited patiently in the shallows while he laid down and rolled. Her brow arched up as she watched the water turn red. When he got back up, she pricked her ears, listening as he apologized and said that he couldn't do snakes. Her voice was soft as she took a reassuring step toward him. "It's okay, Noctis. It's our little secret. No more snakes. We can do something else. Want to chase the seagulls? I thought I saw a group of them hunting crabs on the beach." There, that should distract him. She could see that he was really bothered by this new development but she wouldn't let it ruin the whole day for them. Her mother was still off gallavanting with Rougaru or something so she needed to keep herself busy and Noctis was the perfect distraction.
