As much as Indira hopes her daughter spreads her wings and takes flight, Indira knows such a time will be hard for her too. As Indira has become a fixture in Kalayani's life, so too has Kalayani becomes a fixture in hers. indira has always been a nomad. She never calls one place home for long, but Kalayani has become the one constant in her life. Indira has lived on her own before, and she'll do it again. She knows, for her daughter's sake, they must someday be parted, but a mother always misses the company of her children.
Indira remains firm in her position and open with her offer. She stands steadfast in the swirling waters, dark eyes watching the silent battle unfold before her. This is a conflict all too familiar for Indira. She doesn't know who or what this stallion has lost but she recognizes the same response in him as she's had herself a thousand times over. Her eyes dart to Kalayani, using the comfort of Kalayani's presence to give the the courage to continue. A warm gaze drifts back to the stallion. "Go if you must, but you don't have to.", she pleads. Indira gestures to a lonely patch of grass beyond the banks of the falls. It would be a welcome place to settle a hungry stomach and dry off. This stallion doesn't have to tell her why his heart is broken. All she offers is a bit of companionship, on a day where he looks like he needs it most.
