 bacardi As Havelle describes the Bay, it sounds somewhat like the Peak. He can already picture in his mind a place much like his home, only filled with howling winds and whipping snow among the jagged rocks. The frigid air would make it difficult if he did not grow a thick enough coat, but Bacardi has always liked a challenge. He was about to ask her more, when her free fall of questions give him pause again. His ears flick back then forward, deciding which he should answer first. “There are stallions in the Peak. But only a select few are there as companions, others are there as….” He wasn’t sure how to describe them. Hostages? Trinkets? He knew the Lagoon kept mares like jewels, where the Vulcan mares kept stallions like prizes. “Well, it really depends on their relation to the Peak on what they are there for.” Bacardi finished. “My father is Ruger of the Thicket. I’m not sure how long the Peak will let me stay, but I’m sure I could go live with him if I needed too.” The young stallion said, but wondered if that was true. He had only met his father a few days after his birth, too young to actually remember the stallion. But from the stories his family had said about him, surely he was not too bad of a stallion to turn away a homeless son? “Do you think, if it wouldn’t bring more drama to your father, that I could visit the Bay? It sounds like an interesting place.” Bacardi knew it probably wasn’t their place to ask such a thing. It wasn’t her duty to bring home newcomers, nor was it his to put it on her shoulders.
