The sun was slowly beginning its decent behind her as she crested the small rise that led down into the open meadow below. Some may think this a happy coincidence, a chance happening that the golden light cast just right around her slender form giving her an almost angelic halo as she stood so well poised in a position just shy of outlandishly posed. The wind played tenderly with the glossy strands of her dark mane, as if even it was afraid to muss her expertly arranged locks as she allowed her golden gaze to sweep over the fields below if only to ensure she had the attention of the luckiest of the inhabitants before she started her decent down the gently sloping ground. Her gait was fluid, her long legs flowing in an easy glide just shy of a trot though no one watching would dare describe it as bouncy.

Despite that is was winter and the overall landscape was rather bleak, spring would have been a much more ideal time for an entrance with colorful flowers surrounding her, she didn’t have time to wait and the warm glow of early evening did well to make up the difference. She flowed past the smattering of others peppered all over the landscape whose attention very easily shifted to her as it should, a fact that had played heavily on where exactly she chose to make her first appearance as an audience was one thing she never turned down. The air was cool, but the gently movement of her body kept her warm enough that it was no more than a passing intrusive thought until she came to a pause next to the gently flowing river

She turned, the landscape behind her painting a rather picturesque frame in which the copper lady stood in as if she belonged, the last warm light of the day easily reaching over the gently hills from which she had descended to alight the more metallic tones of her coloring so that she almost shone as she stood there, waiting. Someone would come, they always did, and she had a lot of practice being patient when it mattered and when it was in service to her own means. Behind her a handful of birds took flight for whatever reasons, a fitting compliment to her scenic setting that while not planned just proved that some things were meant to be.
