Ezra could tell that his commentary had had the desired effect - the man before him seemed baffles, and this made a wry smile dance across his face. The chestnut and white boy raised his head and arched his neck up to his full height, tilting his head and narrowing his eyes at the young boy in thought. He seemed a year or so younger than Ezra was, and as if he had a lot to learn. Perhaps he should reign in his coy sense of humour for now, and show off less of his bite through his bark.
"What do you want to do?" Ezra asked genuinely, placing emphasis on the want. It was all well and good doing what you were told - but Ezra and his twin had decided at a young age that there was not much fun in that.
"It's good to take time to process, but I have a feeling you don't fully comprehend what you're processing." He smiled quickly, then took a large stride towards him - not scooping round on land, but straight through the pond before him until he was submerged up to his knees. His strong body sent ripples dancing over the surface.
"Where are you headed now? Home? Surely your father will be missing you."
