Every day the sun shined was a good day for the colt. Everything was rainbows and sparkles, only a few things have ever brought him down. First, Xiomara having to leave the Inlet with his mother seething with hatred for the mare. He was sad his dam didn't approve of his future Queen, but he would work to repair their relationship later.

Then, he finds one of his mares was pregnant from someone else. He saw her belly much bigger than it had been in summer and he remembers what she looked like when she arrived in the Inlet before Aiyana was born. He has avoided talking to her about it since he got the theory, but he was positive it was true. She betrayed his trust, but could he really be mad? Should he be? He was a colt and she was a full-grown mare when they met. He swore to protect her, but maybe it was too much.

Thirdly, his father returns from the war beaten to a bloody pulp. Ironclad was worried he might not survive. None of that drama would affect his joyous response to meeting this new stranger. Even if she didn't seem pleased to have him there. His legs raise high as he trots back down the beach towards her, a large smile on his face. "Hello I am Ironclad!"
