here to save the princess

He couldn't put into words how right it felt to be swimming at Talien's flank. Being able to inhale her sweet scent every time he breathed and knowing that he didn't have to leave her side ever again. It brought a whole new peace that he never thought he'd know. It was like a huge burden had been lifted from his shoulders, finding Talien and knowing that she was alive and well. It was still weird to think that she had a foal, but he hoped to some day meet her daughter. And hoped to some day have one of his own running around. He didn't know anything about Talien's lead stallion, Liland, but he hoped that they would get along, for her sake. He'd hate to come into her life and create drama but he wasn't about to take any prisoners when it came to Talien.

She was the only one he wanted. He wasn't built to be a herd stallion, to want multiple mares and see how much he could spread his seed. He had yet to be a father because he couldn't picture it with anyone else. He didn't resent Talien for having a foal without him. She didn't know that he'd been searching for her after all. But maybe in the future, he could have that dream he'd always had in his mind come to life. He glanced up at the sky as they swam, taking in the dark clouds. His skin shivered at the cold water around them. His coat was still thin but it would adapt to any climate in time, he was sure. He glanced toward Talien. "I'm not going to freeze in the Bay, right?" He said asked with a smirk. He wasn't sure what she would answer but he knew he still wasn't changing his mind. He would go with Talien wherever she was.

He let out a breath of relief as they got up on the shore of the Bay. Following her out of the freezing water, he shook out his coat and instantly walked over to rub his body against hers, as much to warm her up as to warm himself up after the swim. "I'll let you know when I can feel my legs again." He joked. At her taunt about beating him, he laughed and tossed his head with a coy wink. "I'll lose every time if it means I get to enjoy that view." His eyes twinkled with mischief. Taking a look around, he gave a snort and his ears flicked back and forth. He could feel a tension in the air, though he couldn't explain it. "Did something happen while you were gone?" He asked softly.
