Lylith
Self Worth Is Not Found In Someone Else

What makes a home? The people who live there, the memories? What if they were all gone? A year ago, the young Princess was forced from her home as an attack was lead on her Kingdom. She, and her handmaiden who was her best friend all her life had ventured out of everything they ever knew to find somewhere safe, and all the young Princess has found was heartache. She vowed to take another throne, to continue her legacy on. Though the kingdom they had come across had been inhabited, Olya, her handmaiden insisted on stopping there for a while. That's when it became clear. A self proclaimed "King", though he wasn't much of one if he just waltzed in and demanded a crown, greeted Olya and refused the Princess. He spoke vile words towards the two of them, and because of this the Princess spoke back. This caused outrage in the "King", and he stole Olya from the Princess, threatening to rip them both to shreds if she ever came back for her. She was alone, she had nothing. She was nothing. She tried to band her kind together again, only to watch them disband with the quickness. So Lylith had to take matters into her own hands.

She went back to the "King"s land and watched them from afar for months, seeing just what Olya had become. She was no longer one of them. She was no longer of the Princess's kind. She had changed herself into something else, and even worse she refused the "King"s option to leave when presented it. When attempting to leave the scene, the "King" had found her, cornering her in the mountains of his kingdom. Though the Princess was small, she was strong. She fought vigorously with no training whatsoever. She kicked and bit her way on top of him, eventually overpowering him. With a strong, swift kick he took a hoof to the head, fatally killing him. As the Princess left, she came across Olya who watched from the distance as she did them. "How . . . How could you?" Lylith stopped in her tracks, and faced her. Dark eyes meeting Olyas ambers. "At least I didn't turn my back on my own. Had I have been my father, your head would be on a stick. Be happy I'm only walking away from you. Now run along, I have no place in my life for traitors." She spat, venom laced in every word. She began walking again, and slowly it turned into running until she had no idea where she was going.

A trip to the shores had turn to a swim, and eventually she had found herself washed away in a storm and struggling to find land. She gasped for breath above the waves, and no matter how hard she tried she couldn't find her footing. Eventually she gave up hope and let the current take her. Yet to her shock, she woke up on the shores of a place she didn't recognize. She rose to her feet, freezing and thirsty. She got to the snow and began licking and chewing on it, attempting to hydrate herself. She kept her eyes and ears alert, watching her surroundings. What was this place? She could see hoof tracks in the snow of other horses, so she knew she wasn't alone. Though that didn't calm her, it just made her ask what the horses here were like. Now that she was alone in the world, she craved contact with others. Though she didn't know what to expect from here . . . So she filled herself with as much water as she could and began to uncover grass to graze on, not remembering the last time she had eaten. She sighed, staring into space as she grazed, ears flicking to small movements of birds around her.
