Falls

An emotion Ivanna couldn't read flits across the mare's face after they both settle from the unintentional scare, but it hardly daunts the bright girl. The prospect of company had completely derailed her sad thoughts of her own loneliness and replaced them with the warmth of a potential friendship.

At the mare's mention of daydreaming, the yearling lets loose a bubbling laugh. "I do that a lot too. Daydream I mean. I can't wait for summer again when it's warm. I like the snow but not as much as swimming."

As the mare asks her of the land they walked upon, an inquisitive tilt of her head disarrays the loose strands of her forelock until they tilt over her blue eyes. She looks around at the Falls in confusion, wondering how one could mistake them for anything but public area, and then she remembers how disorienting the world was when she first arrived, and that it was winter and much quieter here than it had once been.

"Oh! No, it's not my home, it's just the Falls." Then she considers if for a moment and hmms before expounding further. "Mm, I mean kinda. I stay here, but it's not really like home, home, you know?"

She glances out over the forest and the slow movement of the Falls with a small smile. It was nice here, but it wasn't a home. Home meant knowing you were protected while you slept, meant knowing that in the morning there would be something that was happy to see you, meant knowing that if there were wolves around you would have somone to protect you.

"The Common is where you go to find a home around here, I think. I mean. You could probably ask someone around here for a home, but most go to the Commons. You gotta be careful though." She nods sagely, casting a suspicious glance toward the general direction of the land in question.

After a beat she turns back to the mare with a grin, flicking the strands of her tail. "Did you come from a big herd?"
