I see on our news station that some of our Representatives in Upstate NY are asking Gov. Cuomo to start opening up areas of NY that are low in virus cases. I can see this both ways - economy vs. the illness. It seems reasonable that tourists, etc. will bring more cases to areas that are not seriously affected by the virus. I do not see how racing can get going at our local tracks anytime in May. The pit area is one thing, but the stands put fans too close together. If they should open sometime in late May, I wonder if fear would keep the crowds down making it difficult to pay purses?
However, if you can believe the experts, the virus will be with us into the future and at some point the Country will need to open.
