can you see me now?

Illusion smiled as the younger mare agreed that she was indeed energetic as a filly. When she thought back on herself, she guessed she had an abundance of energy herself, but her mother always called her level headed more than most. She liked to think things through and tred carefully when she felt the situation called for it where most foals would have just raced through. She wondered what kind of foal hood Shararat had and hoped it was magical as her own had been. When she admitted to being pregnant, the other mare looked surprised, her gaze sweeping over Illusion's body and she smiled, not upset at all to show off her burdened state. When she wasn't feeling weary after chasing Raptor around, she would admit that she liked being pregnant and being a mother in general. It was freeing in a way, knowing she could bring someone else into this world and show them how to survive.

She knew her body was starting to get rounded as the season drew ever closer. She couldn't wait to see the new life she would bring into this world, and to know the father was around to help if he wanted to. She hoped her foal would make Bahadir proud. For a moment, Shararat seemed distracted, her gaze distant as if her thoughts were miles away. Illusion could only hope it was happy memories she was set on but she didn't set on them long before she launched across the sand to stretch her legs, challenging the black mare to a race. She tossed her head with a laugh as she watched Shararat take off and skid down the dune before catching up. It wouldn't take much since Illusion was never really known for her speed. She still enjoyed it though and noticed that the other mare stayed back a little as if content to let her lead.

Once they reached the water however, Shararat raced ahead, diving head first into the waves and Illusion trotted into the water after her with a chuckle, ears pricked as the other mare ducks under the waves for a moment before coming back up with a gasp. Illusion gave a snort, having never tried to duck her head under. It was a little scary in her opinion but the black mare didn't seem bothered. At her question, Illusion nodded and stepped in deeper, letting the waves wash up around her chest. "The water is indeed magical, if a little cold with the winter chill." She admitted with a little shiver. At least the Dunes stayed warm.
