*~My Next Collison Course~*

They had a common past in the Lagoon and it was easy to see Kendry had moved past it and reformed himself into something else, someone else. Collision was starting to see that maybe he'd already taken everything he could from being with the bachelors. He'd met Diamant and Argento, after all, and made friends of them. He met Shenzi and she gave him a different view. Now he met Kendry and they could meet on the fields and battle and depart not as enemies. It was like the fates were trying to tell him something. Maybe it was time to move on himself. He didn't know yet where he would go or what he would do but he knew that he couldn't stay here and fight for a cause he didn't fully believe in. It wouldn't be right. At least the stallion didn't seem offended when Collision said that he had to check on Shenzi.

It wasn't that he didn't the trust the other's word. He just had to make sure with his own eyes to know she was okay and happy above all. Then he could go about his own life. He had made her a promise that day she asked him to stay with her while she rested. He wouldn't break his word. The stallion asked him to give good tidings and he nodded with a smile. "I will do that." At least Kendry was smiling now instead of watching him warily. It was a welcome change. Collison knew he'd be feeling the bruise on his hip later but he was okay with it. It had led to a new connection, a new course in his life. When the other dipped his head and greeted him, Collision did the same. "As with you, Kendry." He agreed. As the other walked past, he asked Collision to stop by the Thicket and ask for him.

Collision's ears flicked but he gave a nod and a smile. "Sounds good. I look forward to it." The stallion reached over to touch his shoulder and Collision let the words wash over him. My friend. To think he'd run onto this island ready to face bloodshed and found a friend instead. He could see the stallion had other places to be, friends to help possibly. He left him to it, moving on past himself to dive back into the water and make the swim to the Lagoon. Maybe someone would think him a coward today for not fighting but he felt he'd found a greater purpose in this war, something that he could be proud of instead of coming here to fight and hurt others.
