This Is How Champions Are Born

There is sorrow coming off this stallion that she knew only by name and face. She knew next to nothing else about him. It is then that she hears a bit about his past recent times. A stallion had lost their life getting others here. He had lost most of his herd to another stallion in which he'd been in quarrel with. This had her hesitating in thought but she was not going to be turning around and rushing off like a coward. A challenge was something to be faced with a firm realization. Challenges were not always lost. This was merely a glitch in time; a moment or two where things hadn't gone quite as planned for Liland. Glory realized this but it did not strike fear in her. There is a pure and kind heart here. She was a patient creature though always with constant energy to get rid of. She'd never been one to just stand around all day.

There had to be something worth doing on a daily basis even if it was just chatting with others. Family was important to her. Glory knew this well enough. She had no children of her own but perhaps somewhere in the future. If the cards aligned right then it would be something worked out later on. She isn't worried about that right now. Get to know him and the others first. Become a real part of this herd; this family. That is her goal now that she's decided to call the Bay her home with him.

"Where would we be in life if things were not sometimes complicated and challenging." It would be a pretty boring ride if everything was the same constantly. Change was needed. Sometimes it wasn't what we were looking for but it was there none the less. It was something that one needed to work through and calculate their proper responses. Choices were always important and you needn't make the wrong ones. Carefully planned out. Everything came into place that way.

They were inland then and three had come into view. Ah. They must be the ones he spoke of. His daughter and her children. "Hello. You can call me Sia if you like." It was easier on the tongue after all and she was a pretty easy going lady. "It is a pleasure to meet all of you." The sound of her voice is rich like honey but soft. It was sweet and said much about her personality already. Gloriosiah was not one to make enemies if she didn't need to. She rather be friends and allies to others. Friends in this case. This was her home now and they were her family. It was time to get down to knowing them. Glory is curious though. About that stallion that had lost his life of course. It was a rather questioning thing in the back of her mind and she needed to voice it.

"Why did he lose his life upon bringing them?" Gaze is settled back on him then, curious and watchful in these moments now. There was a story to be told at any given moment. What was this part of it?
