We found each other in the dark

Through the black starless water,
And the cold lonely air. On the rock restless seas.

Tavas feels a flicker in her gut - a sudden tightness - as she watches the splashed stallion return her playful grin with one of his own. The palomino mare bats her her blonde, wavy tail over her haunches as she settles into a more relaxed position within the company of this stranger. Her golden ears flick forward and back as he corrects her on his arrangement in the Cove. Tavas sucks in a short breath and expels it quickly as she considers this news. Shaydowfax was allowing stallions to live in her terrain and operate independently. She wondered if Warsaw knew about this curious arrangement and what he'd think about it.

But the petite mare's heart lurches when Solomon mentions Requiem. It's brief, but enough to give Tavas the answers she craved. He was still there, in the Cove, and he was still clinging to his small herd. She bobs her head in acknowledgement, trying not to give away her overt interest in Requiem.

"She's been quite the nuisance." Tavas quips back with the toss of her blonde mane. Her golden-flecked gaze then settles back onto his. Shaydowfax made herself an enemy of Warsaw's early on, as far as the palomino mare could remember. Her father captured her during the war, but somehow the sly buckskin had worked out some deal with the stallion. Tavas wasn't so sure of the details - but the animosity for the mare certainly ran through the entire Inlet herd.

But Tavas was also smart enough not to air her family's dirty laundry to a stranger. Especially a stranger who was living with the enemy in question. Maybe enemy was too strong of a word. She snorts once and lets her thoughts on the matter flee with it.

"So, Solomon." She says, taking a step toward him now. It had been so long since she'd had any fun with a handsome stallion. The last time she'd tried to see Requiem, his spotted mare made it quite clear that he had too much responsibility on his shoulders to play around with her any longer. And Bjorn, well, Bjorn was an enemy now, ever since he crossed Warsaw. But maybe Solomon would take the bait. "What draws you away from home?"
