Elerona was almost a year old now. Her mother was trying to get out of her stupor but it seemed very hard. Her mother still paid very little attention to her and so Elerona found herself spending more time either in the middle of the herd or by herself. There seemed to be unrest within the herd like something big might be happening soon. Were they preparing to head off to rescue the two foals who that stallion had stolen? She worried cause she knew her very pregnant mother was going to go too. That scared her so much even if her mother paid no attention to her. The young filly grazes by herself for the moment.

Then her ears flick as she hears some rustling in the bushs nearby. Her head shoots up and she watches but nothing. She chews the grass in her mouth and glances around before deciding to go investigate. She slowly makes her way to the brush and sniffs at it. Not a familiar scent so she moves through the thick set of brush and finds a coyote eatting a rabbit. Her ears go back and she and the Coyote are now staring each other down neither sure what to do. Then wanting to proof that she was a mighty filly she rears up and lashes the air toward the coyote. She screams at it and when it doesn't move to lunges and finally the chase is on.
