Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

not all treasure is silver and gold

not all treasure is silver and gold

He had noticed the limp the silver black sported, but he wasn't too curious about it. Colts his age were usually fighting a lot to get stronger and prove themselves to mares. He had done some courting and sparing himself, but he wasn't sure how successful he was at any of it. His first spar was a loss by the same mare he then bred with. This past spar, with one of his fellow bachelors, had been his first win. He felt good about winning against an older stallion, but Collision Course wasn't that much older than he was. Now here he was picking a challenge with a mare a bit older than himself and a colt, breaking up their causal walk together.

The mare was clearly a bad influence on the colt, but how well they knew each other was unknown to him. He intended to find out just how the colt ended up here and why he was chatting up a Lagoon trinket. Ivory ears flicker slightly at the words of the slim bodied female. A snort escapes him at her slimy comment just as the colt plays on her words. Yep, these two needed to be separated before they got any crazy ideas. Father had worked hard to bring Yazheen here to replenish all the females they lost this past few months. He couldn't allow a newcomer to ruin his efforts. The colt turns to face him and the words of disrespect leave a sour taste in Verrat's jaws. Blue eyes narrow on the boy.

But he does say something interesting. Verrat assumes this boy's father has given him over to Cullen for some reason or another. The scent and sound of another horse approaching cause Verrat to turn his ivory head and look upon Fiero. He didn't know the dunskin personally, but he knew he was a bachelor here. Having Fiero stand beside him gave the young stallion some hidden spark of power as his blue eyes return to the pair in front of them. His head nods in agreement at his friend's words. It was so nice to have backup! "Just where are you from?" He asks the silver-haired boy as Fiero finishes talking to the mare.

Foreign words leave his friend's lips and Verrat stares at Fiero in confusion until words of English leave his lips. "That's right. I am called Verrat." He flashes the stallion, his uncle, a smile.
