Augustine couldn't help the large grin on his face as his hooves smack into Adolfo. He had used so much energy in catching up to the stallion, but he didn't feel the weight of it all yet. He was afraid he would grow tired before this all was over. Adolfo spins around with teeth snapping towards his face, but this time the bay stallion pulls his head back fast enough to avoid the Fjord's attack. Large breaths leave the stallion as he tries to catch up from the last sprint, but Adolfo was still pushing forward with his attacks. The Fjord rears and places a few blows on Augustine's chest and withers. He grunts in pain, a ringing beginning in his ears just as Adolfo alerts anyone in the area of the escape.

This was bad.

Augustine knew a lot of the bachelors were fighting in the war so he didn't expect many to answer, but there were still a few left behind. His father was one of them (though he hasn't seen him in a while) and Fiero another. He really didn't want to be put against any of his blood family members, but he would do whatever it took to save Adelia and his children. Suddenly, his head began pounding painfully as he felt his adrenaline rush die down. Augustine cusses under his breath in Spanish and gives a worried glance to Adelia where he spots three new mares at the scene tending to the two foals they had found. They must be their mothers or members of their herd.

Wham! Hooves crash into his ribs as Adolfo lands the last blow before high tailing it towards the newcomers. Augustine wants to help him, he does, but his body could no longer fight. He felt exhausted and he could feel every ounce of pain that now rocks his swollen body. His cheek was swelling large, as were his ribs where he was just hit, and his chest and shoulders throbbed. He hears the scream from one of the mares who was now charging Adolfo. He silently prays she and the rest of them would be safe. Augustine limps towards his mate and family and pushes Adelia towards the sea with his shoulder. "We must go now before anyone else shows up." Cherish tries to tend to some of his wounds, but he pushes her away. "Now madre." He gives her a stern nip before directing them to the sea and entering the chilly waters himself. Then he began their hard journey to Tinuvel.
