very large expensive easy to find targets with thousands of sailors aboard , makes to think about too many large eggs in our protective sea basket. makes sense to spread out vulnerability. and power. with anti-ship missiles in a much different war than any experienced (Faulklands?) before
From a laymans view those big expensive carriers are very valuable enemy targets. we cannot afford to loose in a first exchange in a war at sea.
