Pain. Raw pain.

He had never told her how much she meant to him, how much he had truly cared for her. He never got the chance to tell her that it was his vengence upon Shamwari that had taken Sanibel from the Prairie in repayment for her capture. She was a decietful creature, a blackened soul created from the fires of Warsaw's loins and ingrained with the same passions for legend that aided his reputation and build. She had been the first mare gifted to him, the first to imply that greatness could be his and the one that again and again he had let down.

Celestria.

Even now the image of her broken body burned in his mind's eye. He had failed her.

Grant it Shamwari was a worthy advisary even for him, Rougaru should have known that he could not take on father and son in a single fight. Celestria had been at his side, the grasps of victory vibrant in her gaze. She faced off against Jabari with the same fierceness that any warrior could only hope to achieve. She fought with vigor and cunning and yet still she fell to a well aimed attack.

Her blood still cracked and dried along his muzzle, a smear here and there upon his cheeks as he gazed at the sand colored mare before him. Shamwari's mare.

Lips peel back in a vicious snarl as he steps forward with the same bloodthirsty vengeance that colored his soul. He could take her life here, let her blood spill upon the leaf litter. He could leave her broken body for Shamwari to find, a reminder of the pain that he felt. The wolf salivated at the thought, its wicked fangs parted and claws dig into the earth as muscles bunch beneath its gray coat, ready to see the visions a reality.

The snap of a twig and his mind is freed from the pale mare with her sea green gaze. His own multifaceted gaze shifts to the dark underbrush as the familiar form of Wasp appears, her muscular frame silhouetted by the moon's pale wash. Wasp. Though she does not move to aide or hinder his attempt, the look that fixated upon him is enough to draw the red from his vision like a moth to flame. He blinks rapidly at her, clearing his vision of the hate that threatened to send him into a deep spiral.

And then she is gone.

As silent as a shadow she slinks through the underbrush towards the distant screams of war. Leaving him with the options that lay turbulant upon his soul. He could forget the green eyed mare before him, leave her alone in the forests to whatever fate the gods might see fit for her. He could.... but he wouldn't. Ears flicker atop his skull as she speaks now, her intense gaze demanding as she lifts her head in defiance. The wolf growls within him as he takes a single stalking step closer.

She was a pretty thing, aside from the to-good-for-you attitude that made him want to let the beast loose. She had a finely shaped head and well set eyes that could have at one time been meek. The fluid movement of her stride and the lovely curve of her feminine figure was rather alluring, traits that he could only imagine she passed on to each of her offspring. A lovely thought.

He had promised himself after Sanibel that he would never again force a mare to carry his offspring and yet the haughty gleam in her eyes made him want to take her. Thick cream and caramel colored tail flicks with an audible snap against muscular haunches as she demands he take her to the Prairie. A cute thought that brought a devious smirk to his lips. "Oh I will gladly escort you home pretty dove." he growls lunging towards her now, teeth snapping at her heels. "But Paradise is a far more suitable choice.... and it is where you will be calling home for some time." he finishes pressing the point of his shoulder against her rump to urge her towards the sea. Shamwari would pay for Celestria.... starting with this little gem.
