The Tame Life

when you feel my heat look into my eyes
it's where my demons hide;

Quillon was so unsure in life, his father still has not tried to come to him whether it was to demand he go live in paradise or to visit. It only confirmed that his father didn’t care about him whatsoever. Maybe he was wrong, but how could he know? He wasn’t gonna make an effort to go visit his father when his father couldn’t make the effort to visit him. Things went two ways and he wasn’t gonna be the first to cave. No, his father could be the first. If he wanted to see him he knew where he currently lived but come spring, he would be heading to the prairie with Ruger. He loved his mother but being almost a year old means he wants to learn from a stallion. Why not go with the one he has seen since he was little? Ruger may not be his biological father but in a way Quillon viewed him as his father. So when Ruger made the announcement that he would be leaving the thicket to Vasilisa, Quillon made the choice to follow Ruger. His mother understood and it seemed Ruger and she have already discussed this possibility.

However, Quillon decided to go out and adventure this time. To see more of the world without his mother by his side. Maybe his older brother would be lurking around the meadows. Though he hoped his uncle wasn’t, that was not an encounter he wanted again. That uncle was definitely a cruel stallion who was sexist. Thankfully his mother and then his father had come to their rescue and eventually chased him away.

His mouth pulls at the wet grasses that were beneath the snow. His ears were still twitching every now and then as he grazed. His tail lashing out side to side as he moved a little at a time. Then his left ear flicks and he raises his head as a skinnish mare approaches him and speaks. He glances around at her words and then back to her.only thing so far that I have ever encountered out here are other horses. Plus most know that I am related to a stallion of Atlantis and tend to leave me alone because of itHe said calmly. Well that's what he assumed. He knew his father's name was becoming well known, but he honestly didn’t smell like him. However, he smelled of his mother and some knew her and knew she used to be Rougaru’s. So his talk was mostly just that. It probably wasn’t the truth.
