The first day of spring brings anticipation and the promise of new life. He can the anxiety toil and roll in the pit of his stomach, which causes him to spend most of the night hours pacing at the edge of the sandy shores. He watches with glacial eyes to insure that none come to his shore unless he has personally invited them to do so. But when he sees Kalayani wander the shores and then head into the sea, his brow furrows and anger flickers to the surface. Foolish girl. So with a nod to his herd and a few words with Ailill, he follows after her.
He gives her space but stalks behind her to insure that she is safe. He pushes himself through the dense foliage until he stands near enough that he can hear her within the thicket but far enough away that she can not sense his presence. He can feel the anger boil beneath his smoky hide and his eyes remain narrowed in her direction. Once finally the sounds of birth fade into the still air, he makes his approach. His ears remain alert as he pushes closer to her.
As he steps into the clearing, his glacial eyes settle on the pale colt at her hooves. His face bone white like his own, but this colt is not his... no it is one of the Lagoonies offspring. His ears flick atop his head as he clears his throat to announce his approach.
"Viserion is a fitting name for the colt," he muses aloud. "I wanted to insure that you both were safe and I am satisfied," he nods before he pivots and disappears into the dense foliage. He has business to attend to.
