Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

fearghas

Valen's scorn is largely lost on him.

His movement, however, is not. Inquisitively Fearghas's head tilts in question before he takes a stilted step forward to still maintain a 'normal' distance from which to speak. The stallion then obliges with answers that only further confuse Fearghas. A what now? Like a puppy hearing the squeaking of a ball that it would really like to play with, his head tilts to the other side and a wide grin spreads across his lips.

"Valens-boy, that's real unique." Fearghas offers, attempting an awkward compliment. He wasn't sure why a sire would never name his son with his gender at the end, but he wasn't about to insult the pretty male for it. Maybe that was just a custom where he was from. Or maybe his da was just forgetful. The more he thinks about this, the more this feels like the right answer. It was actually kind of smart. You couldn't ever forget if you had a girl or a boy if you stuck it at the end of their name. And Valens seemed to fit him anyway; it sounded fancy and the stallion looked fancy, comparatively. Now that he had approached and actually stilled the giant saucers that passed for his feet, he actually had a moment to look over his companion and had noticed the familiar speckling around his muzzle that his own mother had possessed.

The secondary question has the almost-stallion casting his gaze through the surrounding trees for a moment before offering the equine equivalent of a shrug. "I dunno. Yer the first one I've met here. Do ye think we're the only ones?"

Abruptly his attention shifts back to what the pale stallion had offered initially and his brow furrows in thought. "Who're you reporting to anyhow? Are you a Peak spy? Is that it?"

The more he thought about it, the more he was convinced that this was the obvious answer. Of course the Peak would send in a spy to report on the land. Duh. All the childhood games and stories he'd heard were obviously preparing him for this scenario.
