Duck, duck, goose!

Claws were a dangerous thing where the past was concerned. Not for her though. She merely had a boring past. Something to escape only because you were not a good candidate for being a recluse. Goose might argue that they were recluse like but that was merely him. Ducky could not claim the same. Her brother nagged over her with worry and protection. Ducky wished that he'd find his own path now and then. She wanted him to quit hovering so much like the protective brother.

This time he'd listed. She had made the trek alone and it comforted her in knowing that this is her time. Not his or anyone else's. Well, maybe Echidna's really. It was as much the smaller mare's as it was her own time. This little mare had her curious. Watching; sweeping that gaze over the oddity of all those little scars that were visible. What hard like had this weathered mare lived?

It is like Echidna is judging her with those eyes. Taking in the taller mare and pondering over things. There is a voice then. There is a name. Echidna. Well met then. There is a pause where the mare turns her attention away and speaks again. Ears flick and swivel to catch all that is being said and if she could have frowned; she would have. Horses could not scowl or frown as it just wasn't an animal's expression. Those eyes told a sad story now though. Disappointment. Not in the mare herself, but in the fact that she really didn't seem interested in having friends and preferred solitude to company.

Eventually even the most solitary grow tired of their lonesome wandering. She catches a brief breather before continuing. Do you have a home here on the islands? It never hurt to inquire. Ducky did not herself. Though; she might if she sought out that stallion. Who knows. She wasn't here to bring someone home. No, she was merely curious as any might be. I leave friends being found up to fate. She offers. I go where the winds guide me.
