Shay has lost one battle for the dunes in her life but she was able to keep her title by challenging that stallion. Bahadir. She thought that he and she could work together to protect the dunes. She had won protecting the mare Golden Illusion twice from the same stallion and had even managed to steal a mare from that same stallion. How she had lost to Bahadir still irked her.

She walks with this stallion and she is starting to get on why he was telling her this story and she listens to him. You will forgive me but what is your name?She asks calmly. She does not recall him speaking it and now he asks for hte king position. She has no qualm handing protection over to a stallion but she has trust issues. She does not know if Bahadir has lost her on purpose or if he did try to protect her. here the thing, I once did loose the dunes to a stallion, I did fight him again to maintain my lead mare position and I won that however, a war on an allied island broke out. We went to aid them against a stallion named Warsaw. Warsaw hates me, maybe even loaths me because I beat him three times, twice definiding my mare Golden Illuisions and once to take his mare Ylva. I did beat him a fourth time but that was later down the roadShe said calmly as she continued to walk till she was on top of dune and she looked out over the land from there.

At that war Warsaw challenged my new lead for me and my son and he lost. I don'tk now if he lost on purpose or if he really tried, but he did not want me as his lead so I don't exactly trust a stallion to fully protect me

She said now turning to face him and eye him up and down. He would make a fine king but she wouldn't hand over being the one fully in charge of the territory.you may become the king, you will be my equal however, at least till I trust that you care enough to protect me I will take care of fending others off from the dunes. Proof to me that you care not only for these lands but that you respect me as your equal and that no matter what your protection truly extends to myself.
