. CHARITABLE ADVERTISING on Web Site
There are many worthwhile charitable causes in existence, but we can only accept sponsorship or fundraising efforts on Fusilier Association websites, that specifically support approved Fusilier charities.
This essentially means that it is acceptable to use these pages to seek sponsorship for The Fusiliers Aid Society (which includes Fallen Fusiliers), and The Fusilier Memorial fund only.
We now have our own dedicated justgiving site (http://www.justgiving.com/fusiliersaidsociety), which you can use to help raise money for your cause. If you let RHQ (Asst Regt Sec) know the specific cause you are raising money for, it will be directed to the correct fund.
Messages soliciting sponsorship for causes or charities other than the Fusilier ones mentioned above should not be placed on the message board and may be removed by the Webmaster.
Messages posted in the last 24 hrs. are in White.
A message from Maj Gen PAE Nanson CB CBE, Colonel of the Regiment on International Families Day
"Today is International Families Day and we pause to reflect on the importance of family. We, as a proud Regimental family, know how important the bonds of comradeship and ‘mateship’ are, particularly when times are tough like now. As Fusiliers, we value greatly that we are all bound together as one Regimental family with our strong ethos: ‘Once a Fusilier, Always a Fusilier’.
Today we want to pay tribute to our wider Fusilier family - partners, sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters. Your love and support has been there for us through thick and thin. Without this love, doing what we do would be so much harder. And in these unprecedented times, we remember especially those families who face the extra worry of a cruel and invisible enemy while your Fusiliers are away from them on duty or in isolation.
We also remember the families who are grieving for the loss of a loved one in these last months and we have special sympathy for you in this trying time.
So on International Families Day, let us Fusiliers take a moment to say ‘thank you’ to our families from the bottom of our hearts. We know you are under great pressure and we admire your strength as you deal with it.
