I've forgotten what it is to love

Love was where the heart is they said. Love was forever they said. Care could not be broken they said. Promises were forever right? That is what she'd come to believe to be frank. Now though?

Wrong! Promises were not forever and again, she had been left alone. Forgotten. Broken. Well, not really broken. She was merely upset. A burning discomfort swam in her thoughts. Vercingetorix had left. Where to? No one knew honestly but he'd disappeared from her life almost as quickly as he had entered it. She was supposed to be learning how to trust again. This didn't help her case honestly. It hurt it more than anything else. Loyalty had been something that had been trained into her thoughts.

How can you be loyal if someone you care about decides that there's no point in staying? No one said anything. He didn't even say goodbye. Just gone. Gone from her life as though his intent was never to remain. Love her and leave her. Wasn't that the perfect example of all the things from her past? Abandonment. It wasn't like she hadn't done this herself. Perhaps she had. It didn't mean that she'd wanted the same to happen to her. It just didn't seem fair. It wasn't right was it? Aponi didn't think so.

It isn't long before her thoughts carried her away. She was almost blindly walking though; she is listening to her surroundings. A thumping is captured in her ears and she pauses. Those eyes catch their surroundings and she pauses her gaze over the black mare. It is with brief moments to mull over what she may do before she approaches the other. A soft call escapes those lips of hers and she is pausing a small, but respectful distance from a fellow herd mate. Creed smelled of the forest here. Aponi could only assume that this was her home too. Longer than Aponi's own appearance within the vast amount of trees that made up their home.

Ears sweep forward on her head and stand high as she takes in the sounds around her. It is then that she is speaking. Hello there. I'm Aponi. A pause for a breath and she is continuing. Forgive me but did you know a stallion by the name of Vercingetorix? Someone had to know why he'd left? What had happened to him right? They could not all be oblivious to the truth. Could they? She'd been asleep upon his leaving and so, she hadn't a clue as to why he'd done this. It hurt though; it hurt her pride and her hope for the future. He had seemed so different and yet; here was the facts that she'd known in all her time in existence.
