She noted his humor but kept amusement reserved. Still, Sekhmet could never quite give way to being too stern. He had grown to be closer than a friend and something entirely different than a bond of blood alone. When he joked not to worry about him she nipped at the air between them in a light manner though there was something serious behind it as well. Concern was not something that the fem could ever get over. She understood the dark truths to an extent but that did not mean she would resit the way things were set at least in some form of the word. She would always seek the strength in the world but she was willing to step in should it ever wane. Her family meant more to her and gave her strength. She would retaliate against anyone who dares test that.
Cuirass was a profound thinker, this she had to admit. She gave him a nod of approval for his thought and tactics. “That would be ideal. Use your talent well.” She added while falling in and out of deep thought. When he looked to her again she dipped her head allowing for some silence. She was unsure of how this would go through even so these things couldn’t be forced. Bringing herself to stand tall the behemoth woman spoke, “The girl. Your daughter.” Sekhmet started though kept herself reserved choosing her words as carefully as she could. “I would adopt her. In name alone, if desired. I don’t need. To be seen as a mother. Perhaps family. Aunt even. Your call.” Sekhmet said softly. It was an unusual offer she was sure and though the boundaries did not seem a thing between them she would not hurt the girl, at least for Cuirass’ sake. The fem waited in silence as she moved her gaze to meet his own. Cuirass would always be important to her and if this was something she could give him and his daughter she would. There were many ways to be family and this would cement that.
Her gaze shifted over the land as she slipped deeper into thought before speaking again. “You will never mean less. Do not wish to pressure. As Nissa. She can choose. I will not force. Perhaps we could all speak?” She would never want to force this decision for either of them. She understood there could be some weight to what she offered so she wished to give them time. She moved her muzzle in a way to ask him to walk with her. Large paws shifting in the grass maybe they would happen upon the girl or even vice-versa, for now, the woman would simply enjoy Cuirass’ company and listen to anything he might wish to discuss or advise upon. She did grow curious about her eldest daughter's training after all.
