Are you looking into subspeciality or general ophthalmology?
I worked througout the south west and I would recommend either Torbay or Exeter.
Bristol is good, too. The rest of the units or not that great.
Beware this area has >98 white British and although most are super-nice people, you may feel fairly isolated socially.
