The sounds of foals squealing and playing was like heaven to the black mare's ears as she lifted her head from grazing in the Forest to listen. She hadn't heard children since before the war and was beginning to think it might be a long time yet before she ever heard it again. Unable to help her own curiosity, she started to trot in the direction of the sounds, wanting to just catch a glimpse of the magic that was child rearing. She hoped some day to raise foals of her own but of course she hadn't had the attention of stallion until Roheryn so who knew how long it would be before she had a family of her own? She would still admit to the fear she felt of birthing since Hannah had let her watch when she gave birth to her second son. It was a magical experience to witness but the pain was obvious etched on Hannah's face and Creed had felt helpless to do anything about it. She knew she couldn't hope for a painless birth when it was her time, especially the first time, but maybe it wouldn't be so terrible. Hannah had multiple children so it couldn't be all bad, right? Creed kept telling herself this as she trotted closer then slowed to a walk as the sounds of hoofbeats got louder, not wanting to startle a new mother and her children. She peeked around the trees and her eyes lit up with joy to see none other than Maeve with the filly and colt on her heels. She had been worried about the mare during the war, so afraid that she would end up being kidnapped or harmed by one of the many stallions who came to the Forest just to cause trouble. A soft whicker of greeting left her lips hoping the mare would recognize her as a friend and she slowed to a stop a few feet away, not wanting to crowd the family or make them feel uncomfortable if she wasn't welcome. Her gaze lit up as it looked over the two young ones, awed by their presence before she brought her brown gaze to the mare's, as if asking silent permission to come closer.
