She wasn't about to try muffling her own screams when the contractions came. Who was she to care if her labor pains disturbed the peace of the herd? So she let it all out, feeling she wouldn't have the strength to hold it in even if she tried. At one point, the grullo paint no longer felt alone though no one had yet to come from the foliage. Figuring it was a herd member who was more unfamiliar with her but had probably been pulled here by the screams, she tried to ignore the presence and continued in her struggles. When once her son laid whole and healthy on the ground beside her, the mare's sides heaved with effort as she tried to sit up, blood still steadily trickling from her backside but she couldn't think about that right now. She had a duty to take care of. Only then did she let her two toned eyes find the blue ones of the smaller strawberry roan mare. She hadn't had the pleasure to meet this one yet but figured she had come with the others from Liland's former herd.

Her ears flicked forward to listen as the other mare spoke to her, noting her strange accent and the words she used, some of which Monster couldn't understand for the life of her. But she still understood most of the context so she let out a breath and shook her head. "Not unless you know how to shovel some of that blood and put it back into my body. I appreciate the sentiment, though." She managed to give the mare a weak nod of acknowledgement to let her know the gesture of her presence and words weren't lost on Monster. Perhaps they could meet again later on much better terms. With Medusa, she had been a lot more protective with strangers but she felt herself more relaxed this go-around. Of course, the loss of blood and overall weakness might have a lot to do with that, but she also didn't sense any threat from the roan mare and she took that as her gut telling her there was nothing to fear.

When she heard her name being said softly, her head snapped around as if in slow motion, taking in the cream form of her best friend and fellow queen. She offered a soft nicker of greeting and it was almost a whisper, the weakness evident even in her voice, it would seem. She could see the worry in Zjeena's eyes and she wished she could wipe it all away, not wanting to put this burden on her. As the mare stepped to her side, she reached out to touch her leg softly with her muzzle, breathing in the mare's scent and gaining strength from it. She couldn't find the strength to look up so she didn't see the warning her friend gave the smaller mare but somehow she knew she would be safe, surrounded by friends and good intentions. Her eyes softened further when she saw Zjeena's own newborn children huddling around them. They looked so unsure of the situation and she let out a soft snort. "No cause for concern, tykes. This monster ain't crawling under any beds to sleep the eternal sleep anytime soon." Of course, she knew the words were meant more for their mother but she could actually look at the colts so she chose to sound like she was addressing them.

When her lizard king's scent found its way into her nostrils, Monster turned her head, blue and green eyes easily picking out his vivid greens ones in the foliage surrounding them. He, too, looked concerned as he checked out the situation, though she heard him say soft words to the other mare and call her Grier. Even in her weakness, Monster was sure to take down the name for later. Somehow, it seemed to fit the strangely accented mare. When there was movement beside her, Monster looked at her son, her chest swelling with pride as he started to stand and kick his way free of the sac that bound him. Once he was on his feet, he let out a squeal and she smirked, her eyes lighting up at the lively sound as he smacked his lips. "Alright, alright. Don't get your tail in a twist, Loupgaru. The milk will still be there when I finally get to my feet, promise."

She tried to sound scolding but it came out like a sweet whisper instead as she slowly and shakily moved to get to her hooves. She didn't want to show weakness, especially in front of Rougaru and Grier but her shoulder found itself against Zjeena at one point as she stood to her hooves, turning to give her son free range to nurse. "There you go. Drink up." She offered the colt, before her eyes turned back to the chocolate stallion that made him possible. Dark blood trickled down her back legs but she did her best to ignore it, her tail sticking to her for the most part, which was annoying. When she heard her name, she met Rougaru's gaze evenly, even as her legs continued to tremble with effort. He stepped closer; bold, in her opinion, considering Zjeena's close proximity.

She watched curiously as he reached out to breathe against her skin and her eyes narrowed slightly at the playful smile on his lips. At his question, she tried to chuckle but it came out dry and far too soft. "You won't get rid of me so easily, chocolata. Someone's gotta teach him to kick your ass." She smirked, even as her head lowered at the effort it took to hold it up. Her posture widened to better hold her stance but it was obvious she wouldn't be up for long. She just had to hold out long enough for Loupgaru to get his fill.
