Mother Goose is just a fairy-tale

Goose was not your typical stallion. There were several around here that seemed to be that way. Liland too had allowed other stallions in his home. Goose had of course, come to take command of the Bay but not of the Island. He did not wish to be a king; only a claim to the Bay. The king could keep his place for as long as he had it. There would be no qualms from Goose or future challenges to take command of the island. That was not for him. Warsaw need not worry if he was at all. Goose had his place and now, he was looking for others to join him. That extended to Cinnamon and Zharko here. As well as Liland's child and her child. The only kin to him that he knew of currently still calling the islands their home.

It was still odd. How everything had happened and none of them had answers otherwise. It was baffling really but he could not contemplate or confuse over it forever. Where that would have him was in a corner somewhere. That was not in the cards for Goose at all. His place was out in the open even if he was a quieter creature than others. He did't bounce around like a kangaroo. Neither did he slip into the shadows like a wolf. There is courage but there is knowing where to use it and where not to. Goose was intelligent enough to know these things. In these moments, he is out in the open. He is before his companions welcoming them warmly beneath his leadership.

It is of no surprise that Zharko stated only briefly that he'd wanted to remain with Cinnamon. It would seem that the boy was taken to the stallion with some sort of bond. Not one in love, but one in companionship. It seemed more like a teacher and student type thing really. That is how Goose saw it to be anyway. Goose's attention pulls back from his thoughts as he heard the other speak then. Words toward the younger lad and then toward him with inquiry. Wanting to know about fresh water and how the sea salt was not his favorite choice. It was drinkable but it was not the first option of any. It wasn't even the third option to be honest. Horses just didn't favor the sea water as a form of drink. It would likely dehydrate and hydrate you at all. A chuckle slips from his own lips with those ideas and he spoke.

"Ah yes, the sea is never a good choice when it comes to quenching your thirst." He pauses only for a moment and then, is continuing. "Further up and slightly to your left is the nearest. Just beyond the vegetation line." He offered sincerely. "You will smell it before you see it but there's no missing it. A small pond of sorts but more like a little lake."
