It had been a while now. They were gone. He didn't know where they had left to. He didn't know where any of them had gone. He didn't understand it either. There had been so much question and so much confusion. A leader having taken the deal they had discussed. Then he was gone. It was the trio and no one else. That had all changed though. Goose had met a remaining child of his, and a grand child. He still didn't know. He'd moved on though; he knew he had to. It was for the benefit of himself and the others he'd come to know.
Then there were more. He had brought others in, he had spoken with them and they'd made their choices. He was pleased to be honest. Quiet as he were but full of courage. Compassion ran strong through him and it always would. He was no monster; he didn't have it in him. Justice where it is deserved. Punishment only after it was proven that there was a reason for it. There is a world full of learning. Goose did't claim to know everything and he probably wouldn't ever learn even an inkling of the knowledge out there.
It didn't matter though. What he could learn; he would. Goose just ran that way when it came down to it. Protect those he befriended and loved. Protect his family above all else. That was a code he would always live by. Nothing could change that. If ever he lost; a fight they would have until he took back what he had taken. Hopefully a day like that would never come though.
Today he stands quietly and watches over his home. His ears swivel and perch on his head as he listens. They are content he realizes and this makes him comfortable within his thoughts. He wouldn't mind some company right about now though. He was a little lonely and that was never a good thing with a wandering mind.
