Perhaps he had not been in her mind when it came to fighting for things. He was not deserving of it as others might have been. None the less though; it had happened. His home challenged for and taken from beneath his hooves as its leader. Not from his heart though; not from his physical being. To have driven him away when he did not wish to leave? His stance is calm, and there is no ill in him now. Defeated not because he was not strong enough. No, the battle had been honorable enough in matching strengths and happenings. Valka was worthy enough there and clearly; as a leader. She had proven that even the small have heart enough to aim for the best of their abilities. To take what they wanted. Nothing stood in the way of those truly determined.
No, Goose had long since learned that over time. This is no moment for the thoughts of the past though. She has spoken and inquired briefly of him being here. Why? Why did anyone remain and return even though they'd lost something? Didn't they truly not wish to leave? The Vanner was here after all, for a reason. To call it home. There was comfort for the thick coated being in the Bay. This was his home and would she rob him of that if he proved to not be a threat in the end of this? Was his stance of peace enough to show her there is no ill coming from him of their recent battle over the Bay.
"A home Valka." He pauses only a moment to take a breath before continuing. "The Bay was my choice for a reason. Comfort is brought to me here. I have no want to live elsewhere. I may not be the leader now, but let me prove to you that I'm not an enemy either." He pauses then, watching her a moment before again he was speaking. It was brief this time with inquiry. "Let me stay beneath your rule and prove that there's more to me than you thought?" Goose was not the enemy here. He didn't wish to be the enemy to her and hopefully she'd realize that. Replies:
