There seemed to be so many emotions going on behind those golden eyes but Akello gave the mare her privacy and didn't comment on it. He entertained himself by looking around the Desert as if trying to scope out a good place to bed down for the night. That way, she could get lost in her thoughts and not feel like she was being stared at. He was sure this was a lot to take in and she probably didn't know many other horses in the herd yet. It was always tough being new. He knew this place as his home but everytime there was a new face, he liked to introduce himself so they would know they have a friend. When he mentioned having another horse next to him, she surprised him by asking if she could bed down with him tonight. His gaze widened for a second before he composed himself and cleared his throat with a cough. Wow, did he sound nervous now? He was used to bedding down with his father or mother; even his little brother. But another mare? He thought Cerosi was pretty so that made things more awkward but he tried really hard not to show it. He nodded, trying not to look like he was missing a beat. "Yeah, that'd be fine. I know a good place with a cool breeze." He showed her to the group of trees he liked to sleep under. Their branches were good shade from the warmth of the morning sun and a nice breeze usually blew in from the ocean. Plus there was a pool nearby in case he got thirsty in the middle of the night. He showed it to her, hoping she approved before he went to stand up against the tree and gave an inviting nicker.
