The smirk that pulled his lips was a good sign in her opinion. He wasn't short on confidence, so he'd passed the first test. But there would be plenty more where that came from. She continued to eye him as even before she squealed and kicked out. The colt didn't even have to move but the fact that he didn't flinch got a flick of her ear in approval as she raced off across the meadow, daring him to give chase. It didn't take him long to catch on either and she grinned as she heard the hoof beats storming the ground behind her. His neck was arched and his nose tucked as he came at her like a war stallion and she couldn't help but glance back with one eye in admiration of his form. For a growing colt, he was quite graceful. As he got closer, he reached out to nip at her and she threw her head with another high pitched squeal, her tail flicking as she kicked out with a hind hoof to the side, trying to graze his leg in retaliation. His smart remark earned him a snort before she rolled her eyes and slowed down so she could snake her head out, aiming a sharp nip to his neck. "It's not all about physical height, silly. There are other things to be measured." She purred the words before suddenly pushing her body toward his right as he did the same, aiming to ram his shoulder and kick her front leg out to trip him up before she ducked to the other side to get out of his way. A giggle fell from her lips as she gave a few bucks in excitement, doing a big circle as she turned back to face him with a stomp of her hoof. She knew she didn't have the brute strength he did but he wouldn't expect her to use her legs either. She was going to show him that he wouldn't get his way by bullying, though it would be a lie to say she wasn't liking the confidence.
