i do what i want

Kamekaze never had a problem with confidence. Growing up, he as an outgoing colt who would walk up to anyone and that hadn't changed as he aged. As a bachelor stallion, he would hang out with anyone who could tolerate his high energy. He wasn't much for stealing mares from other herds but he did like to flirt and charm them when he had the chance (or before their herd stallion caught him and chased him off). He would go laughing all the way, though. Life was still a game to the buckskin paint in a lot of ways. He liked to have fun and responsibility wasn't considered fun. He didn't want power or respect. He just wanted to make someone smile or laugh for the day, someone to remember him as the fun guy. Even now as the sea water dripped off his body, he looked around the Meadow with an open mind, not sure who he would run into but eager all the same for company.

When he saw the mare, he couldn't help but approach. She was standing there all alone and something about her almost seemed hesitant or sad. He wasn't sure if he was reading it right but he told himself he would at least make her smile by the end of the interaction. He approached slowly, not wanting to make the paint mare scared and it seemed that did the trick. So did asking like a gentleman. She confirmed that he could stay with an innocent look in her eyes that screamed sweet girl which meant usually they weren't a sweet girl at all but Kamekaze didn't mind. His brow arched up in appreciation as he smirked and dipped his head in return. She smelled of another herd but maybe she wasn't getting the attention she wanted there or she just wanted to feel wanted for a change. He wouldn't mind a nice conversation or to flirt her confidence back to where it should be, whichever she wanted. He was just here for a good time.

When he stepped closer, she did the same and he felt his body relaxing into the moment. She was so accepting, unlike other more withdrawn mares. Her nose reached out to touch his and he breathed in her sweet perfume, his blue eyes lighting up. As she drew back, the mare stepped back as nimble as a dancer, her gaze drawing downward for a second and Kamekaze played right into the game, his ears leaning forward as he dipped his head lower to watch her all the more, truly entranced by her at this point. She was playing it cool, shy even, but he had a feeling she was neither of these things. She wanted the attention of a stallion; someone to make her feel irresistible. Well, sure, he could do that. She gave her name as Vanya and his smirk curled up more at the corners.

"Vanya." He repeated the name in a smooth tone, his eyes twinkling with appreciation. "That's a beautiful name. Fits the owner." He practically purred the words, letting his gaze move over her slender neck in a curious way. He didn't want to come off as perverted or creepy so he didn't let his eyes roam any further back. He wouldn't touch her without her permission but he wanted her to know without question that she was a beautiful creature and she had his full attention. "I'm Kamekaze. What brings such a lovely creature to the Meadow? You know with the coming season, you'll be sure to have stallions following in droves. I might have to stick around for your own protection." He tilted his head, mischief twinkling in his blue gaze as he waited for her response.
