The sun was warm on her back, causing the burnished copper of her coat to shine as she lay in the field of flowers. Lazily her dark nose brushed their soft petals with velveteen silkiness, breathing in their rich fragrance as a soft breeze ruffled her luxuriously inky mane. It was quiet, peaceful on the lake shore and the slender woman reveled in it. Everything was perfect, just like her and she smiled gently at the thought. Until the sound of heavy hooves falling on the dying grass seemed to reverberate on the air around her. Her brows furrowed, elegant features contorting as she sought the source of her displeasure. A cool wind bit at her skin causing a shiver to run down her spine.

Her amber eyes fluttered open, disoriented at the darkness that surrounded her so suddenly. Her mind hazy from the fog of sleep that still called to her temptingly, promising that dream-filled bliss still awaited her if she would but close her eyes once more. Yet the sound of someone approaching persisted, interrupting that idyllic fantasy and causing her dark lips to pull down into a scowl that did nothing for her complexion. She was too irritated to care at the moment however, which spoke volumes about just how annoyed she truly was at whoever dared interrupt her beauty sleep. With a huff she strode forward, straight into the path of the painted stallion on his midnight stroll. For a split second she sized him up in the waning light of the moon, russet ears angling back into the lustrous tangles of her mane.

“Do you often stomp around in the middle of the night waking everyone up. A girl needs her beauty sleep, do you think all of this just happens magically?!” With a gentle sway of her body she indicates her perfectly manicured figure with unmistakable meaning as her voice rings into the night around them. Never mind that her own tirade was no doubt much more disturbing to anyone else in the area who was trying to sleep than Solomon’s quiet stroll had been. Narrowing her eyes she steps towards him slightly, their relative height giving her a direct view of his features as she veritably pokes him in the chest. “Ladies,” she emphasizes the word between her clipped teeth, “tend to be a bit cranky when roused so heartlessly.” Her slender sides heave as she draws in quick breath, her moods tending to be fierce and tempestuous when provoked, even if unwittingly so.

Shifting her weight she flicks her dark tail to the side vehemently, taking a moment to finally judge the stallion before her. He is bulky, though not in an unappealing sense, and she can appreciate the thick muscle highlighted by the approaching light of day. For a moment an appraising glint comes into her eyes as they soften, her delicate body leaning towards him almost imperceptibly as she bats those dark lashes. “Unless your apology makes up for it.” No one could say that being around her was boring at least.

I know i'm not the center of the universe
but you can spin around me just the same
